Orson Welles Honored as Transcontinental & Western Air's Number #1 Passenger
TWA President Jack Frye, accompanied by TWA Hostess Nan Reis, congratulate Orson Welles as member number #1 of the New Sky Chief Club. Orson Wells flew more miles than any other Transcontinental & Western Air passenger in the year 1939. This event is just one year after (Halloween 1938) at which Orson Welles became a world celebrity with the terrifying world radio broadcast of 'The War of the Worlds'.
